Vucic: We have waited 24 hours for EU to react (Tanjug, B92)
Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said he is absolutely shocked over the fact EU did not react to the statement of Hashim Thaci that Pristina will not establish Association/Community of Serb-Majority Municipalities, Tanjug news agency reported.
“We have waited the EU for 24 hours to react. I am absolutely shocked that nobody said a word regarding the document signed in Brussels, whose implementation the EU has guaranteed. If these documents are not valid for the Albanians, I do not know whom they want to talk to in the future,” Vucic said.
He pointed out this speaks sufficiently “about the gravity of the situation in which we are”.
“Albanians have only one church in which they are praying, and it’s the United States, and everything they say or do against Russia and the Serbs-they could care less”. Vucic said.
“For me it is much more important and more indicative that the Germans, English, French and Brussels are silent. In Brussels, the document was signed by Thaçi and Dacic, but in the presence of Catherine Ashton. Saint Peter was not there, but Cathy Ashton was, as the EU High Representative. If the EU is not in a position to guarantee the agreement that was drafted with their participation, then they should tell us that, so that we know that these agreements are no longer legally binding,” Vucic noted.
President of Serbia emphasizes that then other things as well will happen in a different way. “It will bring additional uncertainty and will cause a lot of problems to all sides, but it is important that the EU informs us about it, instead of informing us about various nonsense written for them by some political tycoons. It would be good if they inform us about the thing we spent a lot of time and energy on, in order for us to calm things down,” Vucic concluded.
