Serbia, Russia committed to improving bilateral relations (Serbian Government)

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic welcomed yesterday in Belgrade newly-appointed Ambassador of the Russian Federation to Serbia Aleksandr Botsan-Kharchenko and stated that mutual support and the traditional friendship of the two peoples are the key for the exceptionally good results of Serbia and Russia, Serbian Government announced on its website.

The Prime Minister emphasized that it is an exceptional honour and a pleasure for her that the duty of the ambassador of this very important country to Serbia has gone to somebody who knows very well the relations between Serbia and Russia, as well as the overall situation in the region.

This is also a confirmation of the importance that the two countries attach to fostering their relations and partnership.

Ambassador Botsan-Kharchenko confirmed that bilateral relations reached a high level of strategic partnership, support and mutual understanding. He added that Serbia can count on Russia's firm support in preserving its territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as on unequivocal support in the international arena.
