Political analyst Veton Surroi says Serbian List produced by Vucic and Thaci (KoSSev, N1, KTV)

Kosovo publicist and political analyst Veton Surroi said on Friday that the Serb List was created by the Presidents of Serbia and Kosovo, Aleksandar Vucic and Hashim Thaci.

The Serbian List is a Kosovo Serb party whose officials, including at least one person alleged to have criminal connections, enjoy the full support of official Belgrade.

“The Serbian List is not just Belgrade’s product but also a product of Hashim Thaci,” he told the Pristina based KTV, and added that “as long as it has the support of both Vucic and Thaci it will continue functioning in Kosovo”.

The Serbian List should not be allowed into the Kosovo government, Surroi said.

"The way the constitution is formulated does not determine who should be in government. Kosovo should not be obliged to have ministers from one minority, although is completely against minority rights and against European principles," Suroi said.

"You cannot tell one government, or one segment of government, as it happened with the Brussels Agreement, for example, to have a judge of this nationality, a panel of judges or a police director to be of these nationalities," he continued.

KoSSev recalls that article 96 of the Kosovo constitution says that the government must have at least two ministers from non-majority communities – one must be from the Serb community and the other can be from any other minority community. The constitution says that the Serb community also must have two deputy ministers.
