Tanjug crew allowed through Jarinje administrative crossing after 2-hour wait (Tanjug)

A Tanjug crew was allowed on Thursday to enter Kosovo after a two-hour wait at the Jarinje administrative crossing.

The crew members' personal documents were also returned to them.

The reporters had been held at the administrative crossing with the explanation that they needed approval from the Pristina interior ministry and that they must wait for Pristina's response.

Staff at the crossing said this was standard practice and that checks had been stepped up ahead of the October 6 elections for the Kosovo assembly.

Vehicles and passengers from central Serbia were crossing into the territory of Kosovo as the Tanjug crew was waiting to be allowed through.
