Mustafa requires more money from the EU and World Bank (Lajmi)

Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa, participated on Tuesday in a joint conference on socio-economic development of Kosovo, organized by the government of Kosovo, the European Union Office in Kosovo and the World Bank. At this meeting, Prime Minister Mustafa has expressed the need for a greater assistance in Kosovo from the European Union and other European institutions such as the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development, European Investment Bank, the German Development Bank.

The Kosovo Assembly chairmanship has decided to continue with the unfinished session on 2 April and start with the new one at 14:00 hours of the same day. Deputies will debate on the 100 days of the new government of Kosovo.

Asked about the possibility of failure on the voting for the special court, Assembly Speaker Kadri Veseli said that it is still unknown what will happen but that it is important for the Assembly to make transparent and legitimate decisions.

Mustafa urges MPs to support establishment of special court (Telegrafi)

Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa, while reporting to the Kosovo Assembly on Friday, said that the establishment of the special court which will address war crimes allegations, does not affect the independence of the judiciary in Kosovo. According to him, the actions of the government regarding the special court are based on the exchange of letters between Kosovo and the EU. He reminded MPs that this correspondence was ratified by the Assembly of Kosovo in 2014.

MPs of the Serbian List and Mustafa on return to Kosovo institutions (Tanjug)

Representatives of the Serbian List spoke this morning with Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa about the possibility for their return to Kosovo institutions, Tanjug learned. 

In the last two days, several meetings were held. With Kosovo PM and his Deputy Hashim Thaci spoke Kosovo Deputy PM Branimir Stojanovic, Mayors of Gracanica, Kosovska Mitrovica and Strpce, Vladeta Kostic, Goran Rakic and Bratislav Nikolic, and Minister for Local Self-Government Ljubomir Maric. 

Prime Minister Mustafa apologizes to women (dailies)

Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa, while attending the Week of Women in Pristina, admitted that Kosovo needs bigger inclusion of women in the decision-making processes. According to him, Kosovo needs to have more women leaders. Mustafa said that it is impossible to develop economy without the presence of women. “You might accuse me that I have only two women ministers in my cabinet, and I apologize for this. We should have had more women in government,” Mustafa said.

Vucic spoke with Mustafa about cooperation and Serbs in Kosovo (Blic)

Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic spoke by phone last night with the Prime Minister of the Provisional Institutions of Self-Government in Pristina, Isa Mustafa, about the future cooperation between Belgrade and Pristina and the position of Serbs in Kosovo, Tanjug learned.

Vucic and Mustafa agreed that through dialogue all problems should be solved, and that after establishing direct contact, in the future, they communicate directly about any potential problems.

Mustafa: No compromise on rule of law (Koha)

Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, along with the European Union Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement, Johannes Hahn, on Wednesday made the official inaguration of the new facility of the Palace of Justice in Pristina. Mustafa, during the inauguration ceremony said that the new facilities contribute to proper work of the justice system. He also pledged that the government of Kosovo will continue to work on the independence of the judiciary. “There should be no compromise in the rule of law,” Mustafa said.

Kosovo Prime Minister Isa Mustafa said today in Tirana that the joint meeting of the governments of Kosovo and Albania is the realization of the old dream for unobstructed cooperation between the two countries. He added that this cooperation was also confirmed in the previous meeting of the governments in Prizren and this should serve as a model of regional cooperation.

Mustafa: Serbs will return to the institutions (Indeksonline)

Kosovo’s Prime Minister Isa Mustafa said in Tirana today that Serb political representatives will return to Kosovo institutions. “I think they will return to the institutions. We must respect the rules, Constitution and tradition … We have made maximum efforts and used dialogue to create conditions for exercising sovereignty throughout the territory of Kosovo and to integrate all communities, including Serbs. Serbs from all Kosovo municipalities are now represented in the institutions,” he said.
