The candidate for the post of the mayor of Gračanica/Graçanicë in front of the Civic Initiative Srpska, Vladeta Kostic, said at the gathering on the occasion of the visit of the Serbian Prime Minister, Aleksandar Vucic, that the time of clashes, hatred and violence is behind us.

“Let’s go forward, let’s show to all that we are here and that we are able to be united when needed,” said Kostic. “As of Monday we are continuing to make of Gračanica our town that was taken away from us in 1999,” said Kostic.

Rasic: Visit of Prime Minister Vucic is positive (KIM Radio)

The candidate of Progressive Democratic Party (PDS) for mayor of Gracanica, Nenad Rasic said that the visit of Prime Minister of Serbia Aleksandar Vucic is good and positive. "I did not hear concrete ideas that could be implemented, but I hope that his visit was only a prelude to a new chapter of investing," said Rasic.  He added that Kosovo Serbs should use the visit to Aleksandar Vucic in order to raise the capacity for further investment and development. Bus stoned in vicinity of Gazimestan (KIM Radio)

A bus transporting citizens from northern Kosovo to Grčanica/Graçanicë for welcoming the Prime Minister of Serbia, Aleksandar Vucic, was stoned yesterday by a group of Albanians in vicinity of Gazimestan on the route Pristina-Mitrovica. The bus sustained minor damage, but no one was injured, said president of the provisional body of Zvečan/Zveçan (Serbia-run administration), Dragan Nedeljkovic, to TV Most. Self-governments in four municipalities in northern Kosovo provided buses for citizens who wished to welcome Aleksandar Vucic during his visit to Gračanicu/Graçanicë.

Vucic’s visit is favouring of one candidate (KiM radio)

Members of the Serbian national forum (SNF) welcome the visit of Serbian Prime Minister Aleksandar Vucic, but they complained that he decided to come to Gracanica during the election campaign. SNF made an announcement stating that the visit of Aleksandar Vucic to Kosovo and Metohija, although announced in December last year, “was rescheduled exactly for the time when election campaign for Mayor of Gracanica is on-going. In that way his visit presents preparation for another scenario of deepening divisions among voters.
