Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said today that Turkey's position on Kosovo is in line with its interests, which are different from Serbian ones, but that a major step forward is that Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan has said he will accept any solution that Belgrade and Pristina reach.
Deputy Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Dusan Kozarev was not allowed on Thursday to enter Kosovo at Merdare crossing.
The Office for KiM said in the press release that ''this is another illegal and anti-democratic ban that was applied to representatives of our Office in one day”.
According to the statement, Kozarev was supposed to go to Prizren, where he was supposed to open an event dedicated to poetry “Lazar Vuckovic”, organized by Jedinstvo newspaper and its publisher.
Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric said Serbs face stark and brutal discrimination ahead of Kosovo elections.
He pointed out that the only way to combat discrimination is to achieve a massive turnout in the October 6th elections.
Djuric told RTS that the Serbian List was forbidden to say "Serbia is calling," and others are not punished for saying that "Serbian List is a monster."
Coalition Freedom on Sunday begun its campaign in Prizren under the slogan ''We remain here''.
''We wanted to show that politics is a two-way street between citizens and government,'' the coalition said.
Coalition Freedom stated that good citizen service requires fair holding of elections, representation and participation in order to provide real opportunities for all citizens to express their stances related to public affairs, KIM radio reported.
The Office for Kosovo and Metohija condemns the burning of a Serb house in the municipality of Klina, reports KIM radio.
"The goal is to intimidate the few Serbs left to live in the city and surrounding villages," the Office said in a statement.
It is clear that in this, as in the previous cases of destruction of Serb property in Klina, there was no self-ignition, the statement said.
Portal Kosovo online reported that a Serb house in Klina was set on fire between Thursday and Friday.
''Police and fire units went to the scene and the fire was extinguished in about 3 hours," Bozidar Sarkovic, the president of the interim authority of the Klina municipality, told Kosovo Online.
The Pesic family was "disturbed and afraid due to the burning of their neighbor's house," reports KIM radio, quoting the portal.
An Albanian flag was placed this morning at an annex of a building under construction, which houses King Milutin Elementary School, as well as Medicine high school and Engineering and Traffic high school, Director of the Engineering Traffic High School told KoSSev portal.
A Serb CEC member Stevan Veselinovic addressed the media on September 10, stating that he "left the CEC session not wanting to participate in the work of this institution as long as illegal decisions are made", after the CEC decision that voters cannot use Serbian identity cards when casting their ballots in the upcoming elections, KIM radio reports.
KIM radio tried to investigate whether Serbs still have a representative in this body.
UNESCO Director-General Audrey Azoulay said the United Nations institution is closely monitoring the situation regarding the UN mission in Kosovo.
"Our experts are helping to manage the World Heritage Sites that are listed on the Hazard List," Azoulay told Belgrade based daily Politika.
The president of the Association of Montenegrins of Kosovo, Slobodan Vujicic, said in the Free Serbian broadcast that this association, as well as the political party New Power, of which Vujicic was president until a few days ago, would support the Serbian List in the upcoming parliamentary elections, as he said , the state project of Serbia.
