Srpska Lista: Envelops without supervision, votes disputable now (RTS)

Kosovo Central Election Commission (CEC) has decided not to count votes from the central Serbia until responsible bodies perform analysis because some CEC members reported unpleasant outdoors after touching the envelops and subsequent itching as well as suspicion of being poisoned, RTS reports today. Meanwhile, Srpska Lista said that “re-tailoring of peoples’ will” is taking place. KIM radio: Are there any Serb representatives in the CEC?

A Serb CEC member Stevan Veselinovic addressed the media on September 10, stating that he "left the CEC session not wanting to participate in the work of this institution as long as illegal decisions are made", after the CEC decision that voters cannot use Serbian identity cards when casting their ballots in the upcoming elections, KIM radio reports.

KIM radio tried to investigate whether Serbs still have a representative in this body.

Daka: Final runoff election result to be announced on Wednesday (Telegrafi)

Head of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Valdete Daka, said that they will not be announcing final results of the second round of mayoral voting today but rather on Wednesday. “Final results for all municipalities will be announced Wednesday morning,” Daka said adding that the timing is linked to possible complaints that political parties may submit to the Elections Complaints and Appeals Panel (ECAP).

CEC: Over 20,000 commissioners to monitor local elections (Telegrafi)

The Central Election Commission (CEC) will employ over 20,000 commissioners to monitor local elections throughout Kosovo, said head of CEC Valdete Daka. She added that over 1.9 million people are eligible to vote this Sunday and that the entire voting process will cost the Kosovo budget anywhere between 4.5 and 5 million euros.

Daka: Ballot recount affected results of three candidates (Kosovapress)

Head of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Valdete Daka, said that the recount of a number of ballot boxes has affected the final election results enabling three candidates to gain seats in the new legislature. The new MPs will be Fikrim Damka instead of Mahir Yagcilar from the Turkish Democratic Party of Kosovo (KDTP), Slavko Simic instead of Branimir Stojanovic from the Serbian List, and Naser Osmani instead of Imet Rrahmani from the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK).

Daka: Many reasons behind invalid ballots (Koha/RFE)

Valdete Daka, head of the Central Election Commission (CEC) said in an interview for Radio Free Europe that all election votes have been counted except for conditional ones and those from the Diaspora.

She said the final results would be announced after review and verification of all election material and of complaints filed with the Election Complaints and Appeals Panel. This, according to Daka, could take up to three weeks.

Two memorandums of cooperation to be signed at CEC (RTK)

Two memorandums of cooperation will be signed today at the Central Election Commission (CEC). Initially, CEC will be signing a memorandum of cooperation with the EU Office in Kosovo, for monitoring of the early parliamentary elections. Another memorandum of cooperation will be signed between the government of Kosovo and the EU Office in Kosovo. These memorandums will be signed by the head of CEC, Valdete Daka, the Minister for Foreign Affairs, Enver Hoxhaj and the EU Special Representative in Kosovo, Nataliya Apostolova.
