Djuric: Pristina introduced tariffs only to harm Serbia (RTS, TV N1)

Serbian Government Office for Kosovo and Metohija, Marko Djuric said the tariffs that Pristina authorities introduced on goods from Serbia “had one and the only goal and it is to harm Serbia,” adding there was no other political idea or principle behind that decision. Commenting on statement of Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj, who said the new tax policy achieved its goal because it harmed Serbia’s economy, Djuric noted this once again proved what was the motive to introduce the tariffs. “Pristina is against any kind of dialogue or compromise,” Djuric noted.

Reactions on Enver Hoxhaj’s “pact statement” (Serbian media)

Serbian media over the weekend reported on the statement Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj made, saying that, on several occasions, he had discussed founding a pact to oppose Serbia and its “aggressive policy” with the leaders of Croatia, Macedonia and Montenegro while visiting those countries. Kosovo’s Deputy Prime Minister Enver Hoxhaj said that protective measure of ten percent tax set by Kosovo government on products imported from Serbia and Bosnia and Herzegovina, defends interests of Kosovo state, it strengthens it and protects local production.

He told Telegrafi that the decision was made in order to impede Serbia from financing campaigns against Kosovo.
