Vucic thanked President of Liberia for his position on Kosovo (Danas)

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic spoke today with President of Liberia George Weah, whom he thanked for their views on Kosovo, as well as on a balanced approach to solving problems in the Western Balkans region, reports Belgrade based daily Danas.

According to the statement, two interlocutors discussed the further enhancement of cooperation between Serbia and Liberia, expressing their commitment to strengthening political, economic, educational and other cooperation.

Serbian PM receives Liberia's FM (B92)

Prime Minister Ana Brnabic received on Friday in Belgrade Minister of Foreign Affairs of Liberia Gbehzohngar Milton Findley.

During the conversation, Brnabic said that Liberia's decision to withdraw its recognition of Kosovo represented "confirmation that Serbia’s efforts to preserve stability of the region and reach a compromise solution through dialogue have been recognized."

Minister of Foreign Affairs of Liberia to RTS on revoking recognition of Kosovo (RTS)

Liberia has revoked recognition of Kosovo, in order to find a solution in a peace process, supported by the EU, Minister of Foreign Affairs of Liberia Gbehzohngar Milton Findley told RTS. FM Findley added his country would support a solution reached in Belgrade-Pristina negotiations.

The FM Findley, speaking for RTS news edition also touched upon the reasons why Liberia has decided to revoke recognitions of Kosovo.

He added the Liberian Government is interested in peace process, in which the EU takes the initiative.

Djuric: We are going to Brussels to fight for Serbia (RTS)

Director of the Office for Kosovo and Metohija Marko Djuric point out to Radio Television of Serbia (RTS), on the withdrawal of the recognition of Kosovo's independence by Liberia, it is important that Serbia continues to fight for its positions.

"This is not the first country to withdraw the recognition of Kosovo's independence, it has been done by several countries in the series and there are more and more countries that recognize Serbia's position," says Marko Djuric.

Zarif appointed UN Special Representative for Liberia (Klan Kosova)

The United Nations Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon today announced the appointment of Farid Zarif, of Afghanistan, as his Special Representative for Liberia and head of the United Nations Mission there, known as UNMIL, Klan Kosova reports. Currently the Special Representative and head of the UN Interim Administration Mission in Kosovo (UNMIK), Mr. Zarif has extensive experience in diplomatic, international and United Nations affairs, having served in various positions inside and outside Afghanistan.
