Pacolli: Haradinaj is stubborn, all the others would abolish tariffs on Serbian goods (KTV, B92, Beta)

Kosovo Foreign Affairs Minister Behgjet Pacolli said that any other politician elected for the new Prime Minister would abolish tariffs, except Ramush Haradinaj.

"I repeat, winner of the election, the future prime minister who says he will keep the tariffs, is lying. I exclude Haradinaj from this because I know him as stubborn and when he fixates on something, you cannot change a thing. He does not change his position easily," Pacolli told KTV, quotes Belgrade based agency Beta.

The Kosovo press reports that Haradinaj has hired lobbyists who tried to contract official meetings with senior US officials by circumventing official channels. The reason was, reportedly, emails received by the National Security Council from the office of the then Prime Minister of Kosovo Ramush Haradinaj and the company he had paid to lobby for him.

Outgoing Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj stated that if Serbia denies Kosovo recognition, there is no sense in discussing things with them, reports B92 portal quoting Kosovo based media.

Russian ambassador to Serbia Alexander Botsan-Kharchenko told N1 on Thursday that Russia sees Serbia as a link between the West and Moscow, adding the free trade agreement between Serbia and Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU) was expected to be signed on October 25.

He added that Serbia’s road to the European Union should not distant the country from EAEU.

Botsan-Kharchenko also said that EU candidates should not face a choice between Brussels or Moscow.

Drecun on Belgrade-Pristina dialogue, Haradinaj (RTS)

Chairman of the Serbian National Assembly Committee for Kosovo and Metohija, Milovan Drecun told RTS in order to continue the Belgrade-Pristina dialogue it is necessary to revoke the tariffs and stronger engagement of the international community. RTS recalled that EU Enlargement and Neighborly Policy Commissioner Johannes Hahn said earlier resolution of the Kosovo issue is a priority for the international community and it is crucial for the development of an entire region.
