Coalition Freedom, Rasic: Those not being loyal to Serb List fired daily; two arrests (RFE, Beta, N1)

Nenad Rasic, Kosovo Serb opposition politician and the Coalition Freedom candidate for Prime Ministers in the elections on Sunday, told Radio Free Europe (RFE) that the campaign was conducted in "abnormal conditions," the Beta news agency reported on Wednesday.

He said that "everyday someone gets fired because they are not loyal to Serbian List. There is no person who hasn't been called at least five times."

US: Serbia progresses in fighting human trafficking, Bosnia still on watch list (Beta, N1, RFE)

The US State Department report on human trafficking which covered 187 states, commended Serbia for sentencing several human traffickers, creating a working group for dealing with the crime and consolidating the investigative jurisdiction over the cases of human trafficking, the Beta news agency reported on Friday. Mogherini and Pompeo about the Western Balkans (RFE, RTK2)

EU High Representative Federica Mogherini spoke with US Secretary of State Michael Pompeo on the situation in the Western Balkan.

"Mogherini and Pompeo have confirmed their commitment to a strong strategic-transatlantic partnership. They discussed key areas of bilateral cooperation and a number of important international and regional developments, including the Western Balkans, Venezuela, Afghanistan, Libya, Moldova, Russia and Ukraine," the EU Office said in a statement.

RFE: Thirteen EU members demand expansion to Western Balkans (N1, Blic)

The European Union countries consider a non-paper regarding the bloc's enlargement to include the Western Balkans as still a credible option, with 13 member states supporting the idea, Radio Free Europe (RFE) reported on Thursday.

RFE had insight into the document which, among other things, said that EU should confirm its explicit dedication to the Western Balkans integration and that there was no "a plan B" for the region.

Thousands leave Kosovo, ministry report says (N1, Beta, RFE)

More than 170,000 people left Kosovo between 2013 and 2017, the Internal Affairs Ministry in Pristina said in its latest report, adding that the figure includes both legal and illegal immigrants, Radio Free Europe reported.

The ministry report said that most people from Kosovo move to EU member states but added that a percentage go to the United States and Canada.

Brussels To Host Serbia-Kosovo Talks Amid Tensions Over Tariffs (RFE)

EU foreign policy chief Federica Mogherini says she is planning to host a new round of normalization talks between the presidents of Kosovo and Serbia in Brussels on November 8, two days after Pristina announced its decision to impose tariffs on Serbian goods. Kosovo’s move prompted anger in Serbia, where Foreign Minister Ivica Dacic accused Pristina of undermining the ongoing EU-mediated process to normalize relations with Belgrade. The two neighbors have had tense relations since Kosovo declared independence from Serbia in 2008.

"I'm neither interested in nor affected by US decision" (B92, RFE)

Goran "Guri" Radosavljevic has told Radio Free Europe (RFE) that he is "neither interested in nor affected by the decision of the US State Department."

The decision in question banns the former commander of the Serbian Gendarmerie from entering the United States.

It was previously announced that the decision was made because of Radosavljevic's (alleged) involvement in the case of the Bytyqi brothers. The same decision applies to his wife and daughter.
