Dacic: I would like extraordinary elections (RTS, FoNet, Danas)

Supreme Court rejects LDK and PDK complaints over runoff elections (media)

Kosovo’s Supreme Court has rejected the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) complaint against the ruling of the Election Complaints and Appeals Panel (ECAP) on mayoral runoffs in the municipality of Pristina as well as the Democratic Party of Kosovo (PDK) complaint over election results in Rahovec/Orahovac. LDK and PDK disputed the election result citing irregularities and a vote recount.

The Central Election Commission has certified runoff election results for the municipalities of Gjakova/Djakovica, Gjilan/Gnjilane, Dragash/Dragas, Kaçanik/Kacanik, Kamenicë/Kamenica, Mitrovica, Obiliq/Obilic, Podujevë/Podujevo, Shtime/Stimlje, Suharekë/Suva Reka, Vushtrri/Vucitrn and Malishevë/Malisevo, and certified the revote results for the municipality of Partesh/Partes.

LDK and AAK both to appeal against Istog election ruling (Telegrafi)

The Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) candidate for mayor of Istog, Gani Dreshaj, said he plans to appeal against the decision of the Election Complaints and Appeals Panel (ECAP) for a revote in the municipality. Dreshaj, whom the runoff election results showed as winner, said he strongly believes the Supreme Court will overturn ECAP ruling and decide in his favour.

ECAP rules on revote in Istog municipality (Telegrafi)

The Election Complaints and Appeals Panel (ECAP) has approved the request by the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) to annul results of runoff mayoral elections in the municipality of Istog. Head of ECAP, Mule Desku, confirmed the decision and said that the Central Election Commission is now tasked to organise a revote in the municipality.

Daka: Final runoff election result to be announced on Wednesday (Telegrafi)

Head of the Central Election Commission (CEC), Valdete Daka, said that they will not be announcing final results of the second round of mayoral voting today but rather on Wednesday. “Final results for all municipalities will be announced Wednesday morning,” Daka said adding that the timing is linked to possible complaints that political parties may submit to the Elections Complaints and Appeals Panel (ECAP).

LDK requests officially recounting of votes in Pristina (RTK)

The Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), has submitted several requests to the Election Complaint and Appeal Panel (ECAP) with regards to the run-off election process in two municipalities.

Head of Election Complaint and Appeal Panel (ECAP) Mul Desku, confirmed that the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) has expressed dissatisfaction and suggested through appeals to consider the complaints for Pristina and Dragash. “LDK has requested recounting of all ballot stations in Pristina and some ballot stations in Dragash,” he said.
