There is no serious dialogue on the establishment of the Community / Association of Serb municipalities (ZSO) between Serbs and Albanians in the Kosovo government, and Kosovo Albanians do not have a united position which competencies the ZSO should have, said Kosovo Deputy Prime Minister Branimir Stojanovic. “If there would be a serious dialogue, maybe agreements in Brussels would be reached faster. The current situation is such that all arguments the Serbian MPs in the Kosovo government put on the table must be defended by Belgrade, otherwise they would not be taken into account,” he said.

When asked whether there are talks among Albanians about Pristina’s proposal on the competences and structure of the ZSO, Stojanovic said he does not know, but that the atmosphere in the society is such that they should be the lowest possible.

Stojanovic said that the pressure will grow, since the Brussels agreement has to be implemented, “regardless of the fact Kosovo’s politicians cannot explain to the public why that has to happen”.
