Haradinaj announces Government formation in record time

(KTV)

The AAK leader, who is also the PDK-AAK-Nisma (PAN) nominee for Prime Minister, said on Monday he is very confident that he has enough votes to form the Government.

Ramush Haradinaj announced that the new Government will be formed in record time, after certification of results by the CEC.

In an interview with KTV, Haradinaj said they do not have trouble with numbers to form the new Government, but they are in discussions with elected Members of the Assembly, so that the next government will be more powerful.

Haradinaj responded to Vetëvendosje’s nominee for Prime Minister, Albin Kurti, who accused PAN that they were trying to steal LDK and AKR’s MPs and then plead Aleksandar Vucic in Belgrade to form the Government in Kosovo.

In Vetëvendosje (VV) call this fear of panic that has caught Haradinaj.

VV deputy chairman Dardan Sejdiu continued to call not only on LDK-AKR- Alternativa coalition, but also on MPs of PAN Coalition to join the Government of Albin Kurti.

LDK removes red lines to coalition with PDK

(RTK)

Officials of the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK) claim that after final certification of results by the CEC, this political entity will discuss constitution of the Government with all political parties, including PDK, a party which, few months earlier, broke the coalition with LDK.

The nominee for Prime Minister Avdullah Hoti few days ago stated that LDK will not enter into a ruling coalition neither with PDK nor with Vetëvendosje Movement. According to him, this will not be done because these two parties voted in favour of ousting Isa Mustafa Government.

But the LDK first deputy chairman Haki Rugova has a completely different stance. In a statement for ORAinfo he said they will discuss with everyone without having red lines for any political entity, RTK portal reported.

“It will certainly be discussed with everyone because the political scene is such that there is no other way but to discuss with everyone,” Rugova said.

However, according to the first deputy chairman of this political entity, LDK is awaiting certification of political parties in order to decide on further steps.

“Let us see the final results, what will be the list of our MPs that we will have, and only then we can talk about everything and see how we can proceed further,” Rugova said.

Additional 280 ballot boxes to be recounted

(All monitored broadcasters, Klan Kosova)

The Central Elections Commission has decided to recount additional 280 ballot boxes, which was a recommendation of the Count and Results Centre.

Out of them, 150 will be partial recounted, whereas 130 others will undergo complete recount.

Their recounting will be done due to data discrepancies of candidates and the political entities.

Recounting of ballot boxes might postpone announcement of election results and their certification.

During Monday’s meeting, the CEC chairwoman Valdete Daka said that results will be made official when all the votes will be counted, including those by-mail, conditional ballots and the ones of people with special needs.

Klan Kosova also reported that Prosecution has filed three charges for misuse during June 11 elections. On the other hand, observers of the electoral process positively assessed the work of Prosecution and Police in this regard.

Manza: Unilateral transformation of KSF might jeopardise cooperation with NATO

(Most monitored broadcasters, RTK1)

At a lecture on the topic of “NATO and Western Balkans” held in Prishtinë/Pristina on Monday, ‎NATO Deputy Assistant Secretary General for Operations John Manza said that Russia is making a hybrid war to exert influence on the Western Balkans.

Manza said that Kosovo should be able to face Russian hybrid attacks by strengthening border oversight, non-spreading of fake news and other things in order to be more elastic against Russian effort to interfere in the country.

Manza used the example of Montenegro how Russia tried to exert influence, but it did not succeed and this state has become a member of NATO.

He reiterated that there should be no transformation of Kosovo Security Force (KSF) into Kosovo Armed Force without constitutional changes. Manza even said that unilateral transformation might jeopardise cooperation with NATO and move the entire process back.

According to Manza, there should be an agreement between the entire political establishment in Kosovo, including Serb representatives in institutions, for a transformation of KSF.

During his visit to Kosovo, John Manza was received by KFOR Commander Major Giovanni Fungo and the Acting Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa.

Inter-municipal declaration to promote inter-community dialogue signed

(Klan Kosova)

With the OSCE Mission’s support, mayors of six municipalities signed a joint declaration to support inter-community dialogue in the municipalities.

This statement obliges municipalities to plan initiatives and projects for strengthening interaction of different communities.

Municipalities involved in this agreement are Prizren, Dragash/Dragaš, Suharekë/Suva Reka, Rahovec/Orahovac, Mamuşa/Mamushë/Mamuša and Malishevë/Mališevo.

Bahtiri urges internationals to put pressure on Rakic

(Klan Kosova)

Mitrovicë/Mitrovica mayor Agim Bahtiri and his deputy Faruk Mujka know exactly where the borders of this divided town are, but they are saying that mayor of the northern municipality, Goran Rakic, is persistently trying to change these borders.

As a result, this issue still has not been determined which, according to mayor Bahtiri, has been discussed between the parties dozens of times.

“At the end we agreed with the map that I brought in, and that map must be respected. These borders must be respected. We have made a memorandum and it was signed by mayor Rakic,” he said.

Bahtiri says that the Serb side is disregarding Ahtisaari Package, while he is calling for the help of internationals in Kosovo.

“We will no longer discuss this topic. It is definitely over. Only his signature is expected and nothing else. I would urge the international community to put pressure on Mr Rakic to sign it and not waste time,” Bahtiri underlined.

The northern municipality has called for putting under its administration the villages of Suhadoll, Vinarc i Ulët and Vinarc i Epërm, Vidimiric and Gushavc. However, Rakic himself told Klan Kosova over the phone that this request is not a condition and that parties should identify a solution.

Furthermore, according to him, the new Government which will come out of last week’s elections should play a vital role for this issue not to remain a problem between the two municipalities.

On the other hand, the EU Office in Kosovo in its response given to Klan Kosova regarding this issue, urged the parties to sign the agreement as stipulated in law.

“The EU believes that the administrative line between South and North Mitrovica has been clearly determined in Kosovo legislation. The EU urges parties to sign the Memorandum of Understanding that would strengthen inter-municipal cooperation. The EU, in its role as a facilitator, works with the parties in order that they implement what has been agreed,” EU Office stated.
