Week of CEFTA in Belgrade: Kosovo to take over chairmanship (KoSSev portal)

The week of CEFTA starts today in Belgrade, while Kosovo is expected to take over the chairmanship from Serbia in the CEFTA Secretariat meeting, KoSSev portal reports today.

Deputy President of the Government of Serbia and Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications, Rasic Ljajic will open the week of CEFTA that would last till 23 November.

Creation of a regional economic area and harmonization of CEFTA market would be the focus of the event, KoSSev further reported.

Three roundtables, on facilitation of the trade of goods and services, regional investments and data analysis would also be organized.

The meeting of CEFTA Secretariat is expected to take place on 23 November, where Kosovo should take over the chairmanship, as reported earlier by RTS and confirmed by the Kosovo Minister of Trade and Industry, Bajram Hasani, who also announced his participation at this event.

However, there is still no official confirmation if the minister would participate at the event in Belgrade, while the agenda of the event says Sutrime Derhisholli as CEFTA representative in Kosovo would participate, KoSSev portal reported.
