The People’s Movement of Serbs from Kosovo ”Fatherland” issued a press statement on Sunday evening, stating that the visit of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic to Kosovo didn’t bring anything new, and that he said ”lots of futile promises and messages” that ”cannot encourage Serbs at all”, reports NMagazin.

They added that the president’s visit showed a different situation on the ground than what it is, that “the Serbs live in misery, without work, without perspective, with a lot of problems and trouble, and that the current director of the Office for KiM (Marko Djuric) is and unprofessional and unable to solve their problems”, reports the media.

”The workers of remaining institutions of the Serbian state, primarily in health care and education, had a work obligation to show the president, with their massive presence, that they love him,” it was added in the statement.

Fatherland also stated that Vucic was granted permission from Kosovo President Hashim Thaci to visit Kosovo and Metohija, provided he continues the negotiations with Pristina and ”be careful of what he would say” during the visit.

”Although he promised that there would be no negotiation until the culprits for the death of Oliver Ivanovic were found, they had not yet buried him, and the President agreed to the negotiations. He precisely took care of what he was saying, because in a single sentence, he did not mention that Kosovo and Metohija is part of the Republic of Serbia, ” the movement ”Fatherland” stated.

The movement concluded that ”they agree with the President of Serbia that the culprits for the murder of Oliver Ivanovic must be found urgently and be severely punished”.
