Cooperation between Serbia and Russia does not represent any threat to Kosovo, Deputy Supreme Allied Commander of NATO Forces for Europe, General James Everard and Commander of NATO’s Joint Force Command in Naples, U.S. Navy Admiral James Foggo said during the visit to the KFOR base in Pristina, RTS reported.

“Relations between Serbia and Russia are a matter of sovereignty of the two states and Serbia can decide with whom it wishes bilateral cooperation and what relations it wants to have,” NATO Commanders said, RTS reported.

“Serbia is a country that has historic ties with Russia, and I think it is unnecessary that Kosovo is concerned over their cooperation. This is the world where people are connected and currently I think there is no any threat,” General Everard said, RTS reported.

It is the same when it comes to the relations with China or Great Britain or USA, Admiral Foggo said, adding “it is a beauty and purpose of democracy,” RTK2 reported.

“When it comes to Serbia in relation to Kosovo, we can recall the recent murder of Oliver Ivanovic and the visit of the President Vucic and his talks with people that had a calming effect. I think Vucic wanted to encourage people with peaceful solutions,” Admiral Foggo added.

When it comes to transformation of the Kosovo Security Forces into armed force, Admiral Foggo said it is acceptable only through constitutional amendments, Serbian media reported.
