The leader of the Vetevendosje Movement, Albin Kurti, spoke today at a press conference about the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia. “Before a new dialogue with Serbia, it is important to:

Make a state balance of the 2011-2017 dialogue, report at the Assembly and hold a parliamentary debate. There was a lot of investment, minor benefit and minor transparency. 33 signed agreements have been signed between Kosovo and Serbia, and majority of them are not implemented,” Kurt said. He added that an internal, open and democratic dialogue should take place at institutions and among society, in order to decide on the agenda, aim and format of the dialogue. He said the dialogue held up to date was based on Serbia’s conditions.

“A dialogue with the EU about the dialogue with Serbia, about the nature, content and intention, should take place,” he said.

He stressed the importance of dialogue with Kosovo Serbs and other minorities.

According to him, names of Hashim Thaci and Edita Tahiri should under no circumstances be included on principals, strategy or representation of the dialogue.
