Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj led a ceremony marking the beginning of construction of a museum in the village of Bllaca to commemorate hundreds of thousands of Kosovo Albanians who fled to Macedonian territory during the war.
Ramush Haradinaj told a ceremony in the village of Bllaca in the border zone between Kosovo and North Macedonia on Wednesday that the new museum dedicated to the wartime expulsions of Kosovo Albanians in 1999 will show how the past must not be forgotten.
“This building will be a house of collective memory which will remind us how costly freedom is. This will be a stone which will fight forgetfulness about what has happened,” Haradinaj said as he laid the foundation stone for the planned museum.
