The opposition Alliance for Serbia (SzS) said on Monday it would not take part in consultations called by the Parliament Speaker Maja Gojkovic for Tuesday, BETA news agency reported. The deputies of the parties and movements gathered in the Alliance for Serbia have boycotted the work of the Serbian Parliament.
“The request from the rally in Belgrade on April 13 is to establish a dialogue between the authorities and opposition with conditions for fair elections and free media on the agenda, and the meeting of the heads of caucuses is not an opportunity for such talks,” the Alliance for Serbia said in a statement.
Gojkovic said on Sunday she had invited all heads of caucuses to the meeting on Tuesday to discuss ways on how to improve the work of the Assembly.
