In an interview with KTV, Shpend Ahmeti, co-head of the Kosovo negotiating team for dialogue with Serbia, said that the EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy, Federica Mogherini, was not very happy with the content of the Kosovo’s platform for dialogue approved by the Assembly.
“We have personally submitted the platform. They were not pleased with it because they thought we closed off the road to dialogue but we told them this is our position,” Ahmeti said.
He also said that he asked Mogherini and spokesperson Maja Kocijancic to send invitations for dialogue to the Negotiating Team. “The invitations arrive to the state team. If they invite the president too, the invitation comes to us and we forward it to him. According to the law on dialogue, the state team is crucial in dialogue. We made this clear in the first meeting with everyone present. I personally said it was good Kocijancic was at the meeting and told them not to make statements that the presidents have to come because it was not up to them to determine who will dialogue,” he said.
