Kosovo’s Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Selami Shkodra, said today’s operation in the north is not directed against any community but is part of the fight against crime and corruption.
“Today’s action comes as a result of extensive investigations as institutional officials, including police, have been involved in smuggling and corruption, as well as misuse of official duty. The action is aimed at fighting crime, regardless of who is involved and is not directed at any community”, Shkodra said adding that police actions are within the law.
