Private pharmacies in the north of Kosovo are closed today. KoSSev visited pharmacies on the main street in North Mitrovica – all of which are closed today. The doors of some pharmacies have a note stating that they did not open due to „a collective holiday”.

As our readers report, the private pharmacies in the municipalities of Zubin Potok, Leposavic and Zvecan are also closed. A notice over a pharmacy door in the center of Leposavic reads: The pharmacy is closed until further notice due to the inability to procure drugs. Private pharmacies are the only place where citizens of the north of Kosovo can purchase medicine. Radio Kontakt Plus reported that the pharmacies were closed because the Kosovo authorities allegedly announced they would be conducting an inspection. There is still no official confirmation on the reason why private pharmacies in the four municipalities in the north of Kosovo are closed at the same time.
