Kosovo’s Minister of European Integration, Dhurata Hoxha, said today that no official with an active indictment should hold an institutional post in Kosovo, several news websites report. In her report to the Kosovo Assembly’s Foreign Affairs Committee, Hoxha said Kosovo’s authorities must continue to fight organised crime and corruption. “We must continue the fight against crime and corruption, and we need to strive for higher standards. We should not have any officials with active indictments. We need to set a new standard, and this should be done at every level,” she said.
