The murder of UNMIK police officers in November of 2004 has gone to retrial following the decision of the person convicted for the act to cooperate with the prosecution. As a result, the prosecution has expanded the scope of investigation by identifying two more suspects in the case.
Shkumbin Mehmeti, convicted for the crime in 2007, said at a hearing that he along with two other persons, currently standing trial, stopped an UNMIK vehicle and fired at it in 2004.
The next court session is set to take place on 29 July.
