Commenting on return of Kosovo Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj from The Hague, Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic told Prva TV he has already said Haradinaj would spend 24 or 48 hours there and then come back.

“I have already said he would spent 24 or 48 hours there. Enough to check what hotels there are like. He waited to come during the night so the image would be more impressive, like a hero,” Vucic said.

He added that Pristina and Belgrade would return to the negotiation table once the tariffs are lifted, however, he does not know if that would happen by the end of the year, RTS reports.

“There must be negations. Even when the parties are in a war, one must sit at the negotiation table. Whoever thinks it is bad to talk and that compromise is an ugly word (…), I think it is a nice word. And those who would like to lead the country differently, I wish them all the best, but first they must get citizens’ support”, Vucic said.

Asked if “EU is aware of its defeat because it can not convince Pristina to revoke the tariffs” Vucic responded “why anyone thinks it is a defeat of the EU?”

Meanwhile, Office for Kosovo and Metohija Director Marko Djuric said Serbs have nothing to rejoice about regarding Ramush Haradinaj’s summoning to The Hague. Commenting on the Special Court for KLA crimes, he said “it is a court of a false state of Kosovo, which is only geographically located in the Netherlands.”

He recalled that war crimes do not get obsolete, and KLA would be held responsible at a certain point, be it in a year, two, five or ten.

Djuric also noted that Serbs speak too less about KLA crimes. “We should work on the cultural memory. Albanians mark every hill from where a terrorist fired a bullet (…),” Djuric said.

Speaking about continuation of a dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina, Djuric said there would be talks with Albanians after they revoke 100 percent tariffs on goods from central Serbia, RTS reported.
