UNICEF estimates that around 38,000 children with disabilities in Kosovo don’t receive education.

Of the total of 43,000 children with disabilities in Kosovo, only 5,300 go to school, UNICEF said warning that these children could face social exclusion as a consequence.

Head of UNICEF Office in Kosovo, Murat Sahin, called on Kosovo institutions to allocate sufficient funds for employment and training of more teachers and assistants by providing additional equipment to ultimately facilitate persons with disabilities entering the job market.
