Chairman of the Kosovo Football Federation, Agim Ademi, has written to the international football governing bodies, FIFA and UEFA, expressing concern over Serbia organising football matches inside the territory of Kosovo.
“The situation will escalate when the club from Kosovo, FK Trepca, will compete in Third Serbian League,” said the head of the Kosovo Federation adding that this match would not be allowed by the government and the police.
Ademi said that the Kosovo Football Federation expected more consideration on the part of the Serbian Federation “but it seems it is totally controlled and influenced politically.”
“If FIFA and UEFA don’t intervene and show decisiveness, the football will cause more than a political conflict which would be unprecedented and damaging for our houses of Football,” the letter concludes.
