Political analyst Astrit Gashi commented the decision of Assembly chairmanship to dissolve the Assembly on 22 August.
“Delay of the dissolution of the Assembly until 22 August intends gaining time for an agreement to establish a new government without elections. There is information that President’s people offered LDK even a government without PDK, but also without Vetevendosje.
The offer therefore implies the creation of President Thaci’s crippled government in negotiations with Serbia.
Personally, I do not believe that the LDK, which continues to come out first in the polls, will agree to do solemn act of “hara-kiri”. I think such a mistake, but less solemn, would not do neither NISMA nor PSD.
This ‘I think’ in this case is more ‘I hope’.
It is good to first weight, then bond,” Gashi wrote.
