Vetevendosje leader Albin Kurti hailed the dissolution of the Assembly of Kosovo as a joyous development.
Kurti accused the outgoing government of damaging Kosovo. “When we take into account the dizzying speed with which they increased the public debt, enormously increased the budgetary deficit, of course today is a joyous day for all the citizens of the republic,” Kurti said.
Speaking about possible coalition agreement with the Democratic League of Kosovo (LDK), Kurti said he was hopeful it will be achieved. “When we have concrete results regarding coalition with LDK, we will make them public right away. At present, we are in the process with good will on whose crowning I am optimistic,” Kurti told reporters.
He said Vetevendosje would not enter any coalition with parties that were in power until now. “We consider that the captured state of Kosovo is precisely such because of the PDK which has usurped the country. We will not enter coalitions with those that were part of this government.”
