The Elections Complaints and Appeals Panel (ECAP) held a press conference today on the campaign for the upcoming October parliamentary elections, several news websites report. ECAP chair Gyltene Sylejmani called on all political parties to campaign in accordance with the law otherwise they could be fined up to €50,000. “The purpose of this conference is to inform the public that the election campaign begins on September 24 and ends on October 4,” she said. “All political entities are entitled to organise rallies but have to campaign in accordance with the law. The ECAP could issue fines up to €50,000 if the rules are not respected”.
