Haradinaj: I took dialogue away from Mogherini and brought it to Merkel and Macron

(Klan Kosova)

The AAK-PSD coalition nominee for Prime Minister Ramush Haradinaj attended a rally of this coalition on Sunday in Istog/Istok.

Among other things, he also talked about the dialogue process led by Federica Mogherini, which he qualified dangerous.

“It was very important to stop the dialogue of Ms Mogherini, not for me to take it over, but to stop that dialogue. That dialogue was in the wrong direction, not transparent and with risks for Kosovo.”

“Luckily, Mogherini’s dialogue was stopped. That dialogue is over. I also took away that dialogue from Thaçi and Vucic, not for me to take over, but we took dialogue away and brought it to Merkel and Macron’s table. This was not easy, it was difficult, and it would not have happened without America’s support,” Haradinaj said.

Footage of physical clashes between Abazi and Molliqaj and his escort leaked

(KTV)

Footage of physical clashes between Dardan Molliqaj and his escort and Haki Abazi, which had taken place after a TV debate earlier, has been leaked.

Footage was leaked by Sinjali portal.

Immediately after this incident, Vetëvendosje and Haki Abazi reported it as a serious assault, demanding Kosovo Police to take measures and the CEC to remove persons who used violence against him from the voting list.

The Prosecution had indicated that it launched an investigation into this case, but no results were reported until now.

On KTV’s Rubicon show, Molliqaj denied that he had assaulted Abazi, saying that “it was only a continuation of the debate and that Abazi fell down as he was leaving”.

Late on Sunday, KTV portal quoted a Facebook post of Molliqaj where he reacted regarding the leaked footage. His full post:

“Very good that videos came out. Now all the speculations will end.

A political entity that presented itself as a victim and built conspiracies together with a TV station are coming out as the next deceivers.

They slander on shows; it is them who attack after the shows; they then run away and at the end they tend to be victims.

I am sorry for the situation that developed, but I will never stop telling the truth to everyone. I don’t hide. Nor do I deceive. Nor do I get victimized.”

PRB suspends decision on CEC stamps tender not to obstruct elections

(KTV)

Due to public interest and damage that could be done to the country, the Procurement Review Body (PRB) has decided to unblock the CEC tender for the supply of stamps, which it suspended few days ago.

The PRB decision states that “the CEC’s request is approved because of the fact that this institution has managed to prove that the public interest for removal of the automatic suspension is greater than respect of review deadlines”.

However, complaint of one of the operators states that the economic operator selected by the CEC has no VAT certificate and that it had debts to the Tax Administration of Kosovo during the bidding time.

The complaint also states that the operator selected by the CEC bid with an abnormally low price.

KTV tried to take clarifications from the CEC and the CEC Secretariat if, following the unblocking of this tender, they will continue with the operator they had recommended for signature, but neither CEC officials nor the CEC Secretariat wanted to want to talk about this issue, although two days ago they raised the issue of blocking this tender by the PRB as problematic.

KSP: Srpska Lista activists tore down KSP posters

(RTK2)

The Kosovo Serb Party (KSP) announced that a minor incident “caused by Srpska Lista activists” happened in the Leposavic/Leposaviq municipality on Sunday.

“Nenad Georgiev and Bojan Sekulic, in violation of the CEC rules and basic democratic values on freedom of expression, tore down the posters of the Kosovo Serb Party at the presence of numerous passers-by,” representatives of this party said.

As they point out, this party has reported the incident in question to the Leposavic/Leposaviq police station.

“We will shortly address the Appeals Panel (ECAP), as well. We expect the institutions to respond quickly and clearly, and we remind Srpska Lista that this is 2019 and there is no room for retrograde ideas and practices that Srpska Lista is practicing which are not fitting to an election campaign in the 21st century,” the statement reads.

Outgoing Kosovo PM’s statement on Pristina-Belgrade dialogue ignored in Serbia

(N1)

No top officials in Serbia have denied a claim made by outgoing Kosovo Prime Minister, Ramus Haradinaj, who said that during the negotiations about the status of Kosovo Serbia requested 950 square meters of Kosovo territory.

No Serbian official has denied this claim while the opposition says this was actually a proposal by Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic.

Analysts say Haradinaj’s statement serves an ongoing internal political struggle.

Although the official dialogue between Belgrade and Pristina that is taking place in Brussels has been stalled, both sides are continuing their monologues via media.

While the Serbian President is saying that an agreement with Pristina will either be achieved in five months, 50 years or never, Kosovo officials are revealing details of the negotiations that have previously not been known.

From the entire territory of Kosovo and Metohija, which is about 11,000 square meters, Serbia requested 950, Haradinaj claimed. This is roughly the size of four northern municipalities.

Whether Haradinaj’s statement is true was impossible to confirm even with Serbia’s Office for Kosovo and Metohija.

However, part of the Serbian opposition says that “the policy of division of square meters” of Kosovo is not in accordance with the Constitution.

Ramus Tahiri, a political analyst from Pristina, said that Haradinaj was launching these statements as part of a political battle with Hasim Thaci.
