Today Security Council holds a session for Kosovo (Radio Kosova)

UN Security Council will be reviewing today the report of the UN Secretary General, Ban Ki-moon over the developments in Kosovo, who in his observations emphasizes that 2013 was “a year of considerable political progress of a leadership and commitment of Pristina and Belgrade, which culminated with the historic agreement of 19 April.”

The meeting is expected to start about 15:00 in the afternoon hours, according to the New York time, meanwhile Kosovo will be represented from Prime Minister, Hashim Thaçi. The report in the name of Secretary General is expected to be presented from the head of UNMIK, Farid Zarif, while Serbia is represented from Prime Minister Ivica Dacic.

Prime Minister Thaçi is expected to talk about comprehensive reforms in Kosovar institutions, politics, economy and legislation as the consolidation of the state. Meanwhile reflecting on the dialogue in Brussels, he called it “an example for the world, “adding further that “implementation of the agreement has entered in a dynamic phase and tangible phase for Kosovo citizens.”

After the meeting, Prime Minister Thaçi will participate in an evening with Albanian community in New York, where it is going to be marked and celebrated sixth anniversary of independence of Kosovo, reports RTK correspondent from New York. Afterwards he travels for Brussels where on Thursday dialogue continues in Brussels. The topics of discussion will be modalities of integration in the field of justice in accordance with the principles of 19 April agreement.
