Central Election Commission (CEC) will not find it easy to organize elections in June, since this leaves very little time to prepare for them. CEC head, Valdete Daka, stated at TV show “Jeta ne Kosove,” that it would have been good if elections were held by the end of the year, at the regular term.  “I personally consider that if the elections are held in June, they will certainly cause problems, because we have to deal at the same time with legal issues and preparation of elections.” She added that CEC is continuously holding extraordinary elections.

Deputy of the Democratic League of Kosovo, Arben Gashi, stated at this debate that CEC should be ready to organize elections in Kosovo, whenever it is required. General Secretary of the Democratic Party of Kosovo, Basri Musmurati, admitted that they are late with election reforms. “We are late on election reform. However, it is normal for the parties to disagree,” he said.

Speaking about the reserved seats for the minorities at the Assembly, LDK deputy, Arben Gashi stated that LDK has made it clear that it does not support them.
