The explosion in Kosovska Mitrovica, no injuries reported (Tanjug)

In the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica early this morning was thrown an explosive device. 

Regional Head of Operations of the Kosovo Police, Željko Bojic told Tanjug that the explosion occurred this morning, a little after three hours, in Vlada Ćetković street when an unknown person activated probably a hand grenade. “This morning, at three o’clock and seven minutes, in Vlada Ćetković street was thrown an explosive device. There were no injuries, but explosion caused the material damage on one building and one vehicle,” said Bojic. 

He added that the Police Investigation Units came to the scene to conduct an investigation and according to initial findings, a hand grenade has been thrown.   

The explosion happened near the building and the road leading to the city hospital in Kosovska Mitrovica, and this morning could be seen pieces of glass that was broken during the detonation. 

Motives and perpetrators, as stated in the Police for the time being are unknown. The explosion upset Mitrovica citizens, who live in the vicinity of the place where explosion occurred.
