Residents of Šilovo and Gnjilane were unable to vote at the recent Serbian parliamentary elections in Kosovo. When in the morning they went to the polling place they realized that electoral roll is missing and that their exercise of basic human rights is impossible.

“That was a huge mistake. A person who is in charge of electoral roll in front of the municipality of Gnjilane obviously made a big mistake. As I was informed by the Republic Electoral Commission, so-called mapping of polling place has not been done so that Šilovo residents will not have the opportunity to vote, said Srdjan Mitrovic, Head of Kosovsko-Pomoravlje  district for RTV Puls Silovo.

Who will be held responsible for this omission is not known. “It is impossible that the whole village is deleted. It could be determined by logical control. Responsibility for that omission is with local government, said Ranđel Nojkić, leader of Serbian Resistance Movement (SPO) from Kosovo.
