Mustafa: Government ready for dialogue with opposition without ultimatums (media)
Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Isa Mustafa, said on Thursday that his government was willing to engage in unconditional dialogue with the opposition within the institutions. “Dialogue implies discussions. We are willing to sit down and discuss real problems, problems that concern us all, and not topics and ultimatums, because ultimatums do not help resolve issues,” Mustafa said. “We expect the opposition will accept our offer for dialogue and then we will be able to resolve many of our problems through dialogue. We have numerous problems in Kosovo and we’re willing to sit down and discuss them. Our MPs were voted by the people to represent their interests. These interests are best represented in the Assembly of Kosovo. We do not deny the people’s right to protest, but protests cannot be violent and no one should use violent actions for political gains,” Mustafa said.
Ymeri: No amnesty for Veseli, Mustafa and Thaci (Koha)
In the second part of the interview for the paper, Vetevendosje leader Visar Ymeri said the opposition will not accept offers coming from the Kosovo government, “because they want to include an amnesty component in the eventual agreement”. “Kadri Veseli, Isa Mustafa and Hashim Thaci, as exponents of this regime and governance, want to include an amnesty component for them in any eventual agreement, be it for their political concepts and also because they have threatened and endangered the Republic of Kosovo. They should be tried for corruption and organized crime as they are part of it. In this respect, there should never be an amnesty for them,” Ymeri said.
Kadaj-Bujupi resigns from AAK (media)
Several news sites report that Alliance for the Future of Kosovo (AAK) parliamentary group chief Donika Kadaj-Bujupi has submitted an irrevocable resignation from the party. An AAK spokesman confirmed the resignation. “It is true that Donika Kadaj has resigned from the AAK. I cannot comment any further for the time being. We will soon issue a press release,” the spokesman told Indeksonline. In an interview for Rrokum TV, AAK leader Ramush Haradinaj said he was surprised by Kadaj-Bujupi’s resignation. Some media report on rumors that Kadaj-Bujupi could join the Vetevendosje Movement.
Gashi: I want to join Vetevendosje (Koha)
Pristina-based renowned attorney, Tome Gashi, told KTV on Thursday that he might join the Vetevendosje Movement. “I want to be part of Vetevendosje. That’s where all the young people are,” he said. Gashi added that the trials of the special court, which will address war crimes allegations in Kosovo, could prevent him from joining the party as he is expected to represent some of the eventual suspects.
