Involvement of the Kosovo President Hashim Thaçi in the Brussels dialogue would be normal taking into account his prior role in reaching and promoting the dialogue between Kosovo and Serbia, learned Belgrade-based daily in unofficial conversation with Kosovo top officials.
Paper also learned that change of the format of the current dialogue, that is involvement of presidents of Serbia and Kosovo, depends on the European Union.
Political analyst Dušan Janjić reminds that initial agreement for the launch of the Brussels dialogue was made exactly by the Serbian President Tomislav Nikolić and then Kosovo President Atifete Jahjaga in the United Nations in New York.
He also expressed doubts that premier format could shift to the president format as long as Nikolić is Serbian President, and added that intensive efforts are currently invested in shifting the format of the dialogue in the sense that the EU’s role becomes only the role of verifier of the agreed solutions reached by Belgrade and Pristina in the direct dialogue.
