Kosovo’s Ministry for Local Government told Radio Free Europe today that the management team will submit directly to Brussels the statute on the Association/Community of Serb-majority municipalities. The Ministry said in a written reply that “the report from the latest meeting of the management team will be submitted to the Ministry for Local Government today and after translation will be sent to the Office of the Prime Minister”. The Ministry also noted that the Prime Minister’s Office sent back the previous draft because it was only in Serbian language. Representatives of the ministry could not say when exactly the draft statute will be submitted to Brussels. Maja Kocijancic, spokeswoman for EU High Representative Federica Mogherini, told RFE that “the management team had four months to draft the statute of the Association”. According to the EU, after the management team informs Brussels on the result of their work, the issue will then be discussed at the high-level meeting between the presidents of Kosovo and Serbia.
