Fatherland Movement reacted to an open letter Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic sent to the Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija last Friday, KoSSev portal reported.

In its reaction Fatherland Movement underlined “it is nice to hear President Vucic is concerned that people in Kosovo and Metohija do not face “Storm” operation, however we had lived through “Storm” already in 1999 when more than 200.000 Serbs have left their century-long home places. Since you were in power then, it would be too much to live through two “Storms” during your rule.”

The Movement recalled “while convoys of refugees were leaving Kosovo and Metohija, along with police and the army, under your instruction, since you were the Minister of Information at that time, the media were reporting about our victory against NATO pact.”

They also requested President Vucic “to stop negotiating under our name, since any your departure to Brussels means one Serbian institution less in Kosovo and Metohija,” and that President Vucic “should at least once, even jokingly say “Kosovo is Serbia.””

They also touched upon President Vucic reference to Gazivode lake, saying he would not allow it to be taken away, saying Vucic’s coalition partners from Pristina would not take over the lake until he sings the agreement with them, same as it was with the Court in Mitrovica North. Fatherland Movement reminded that Hashim Thaci and Ramush Haradinaj came to power with the support of Srpska Lista, so it is surprising that those you have appointed now want to expel the Serbs from Kosovo and Metohija.

Fatherland termed President Vucic’s concern for the safety of Serbs in Kosovo “as not convincing” asking “if you could not prevent the arrest of the Minister in the Government of Serbia, how then you can guarantee any safety to other Serbs?” The Movement also noted the security of Serbs has deteriorated, since Vucic came to power, in particular in the north of Kosovo.

The Movement also touched upon an integrated border management between Kosovo and central Serbia, saying that it was agreed by Boris Tadic, however “it was President Vucic that implemented this deal in practice.”

At the end, Fatherland Movement concluded “that only 15 days after the visit of Tony Blair, your advisor, how come Great Britain removed Kosovo and Metohija as a topic from the UN SC agenda?” KoSSev portal reported.
