The Pristina-based news website reports that in the last couple of days, TV stations in Serbia are showing maps of Serbia including Republika Srpska in Bosnia and the northern part of Kosovo. “This seems to be the first step of implementing the idea of Serbian leaders and Kosovo President Hashim Thaci to change borders,” the news website notes. Jasmin Mujanovic, policy expert on South-East Europe, tweeted: “what’s showing on Serbian nightly news these days: maps showing Serbia as having annexed Bosnia’s Republika Srpska entity and northern Kosovo. This is on par with the lunacy that was Radio Television Serbia during the Milosevic years. I say again: Vucic and Dodik want violence”. Express also notes that the most powerful member states of the European Union have warned that changing borders in the Balkans will cause tensions and destabilize the situation.
