Johannes Hahn, EU Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, did not want to comment the ideas for exchange of territories or correction of borders between Kosovo and Serbia. He said any kind of bilateral agreement should not endanger stability of the region, but it should contribute on stability.

He made these comments at a press conference after the informal meeting of the Western Balkans Prime Ministers in Durres, Albania. “I think that it is not suitable to make comments at this phase for the negotiations to follow. I presuppose that the meeting in Brussels will not be the last one, there will be another meeting, and it will require time to have an agreement. I am not ready for comment. We will not accept any new member if the problems are not solved. Any bilateral agreement should not endanger stability of the region but contribute for the stability of the region. This should be our target, as much stability as possible for the entire region,” Hahn said.

The Prime Minister of Albania on the other hand was very short on the matter saying that “you have my confirmation for all that the Commissioner just said.”
