People marched through the main square of Kosovo’s capital Pristina on the International Day of the Disappeared to commemorate the people who are still missing from the 1998-99 war.
Hundreds marched in Pristina on Thursday to mark the International Day of the Disappeared, including families of people who went missing during the war, Kosovo officials and international diplomats.

A total of 1,648 people remain missing, most of them Kosovo Albanians, but also Serbs, Roma and members of other ethnic communities.

At the end of the march, leaders, diplomats and relatives of the missing placed wreaths at the monument commemorating missing persons near the Kosovo Assembly.
