The Serbian government has earmarked 200 million Dinars (1.7million Euros) in added support for farmers in Kosovo, Agriculture Minister Branislav Nedimovic said on Thursday.
The minister told the Serbian state TV (RTS) that equipment and other things have been secured with the Office for Kosovo. “It’s important to give this kind of support to farmers in Kosovo since nothing can be done without food,” he said.
Nedimovic said the most important thing is to set up a purchase and processing centre to collect fruit and vegetables for export. Goods from Kosovo should have brands with declared geographic origin to make them more attractive.
