The Court of Appeals has confirmed the prison sentence of the leader of Vetevendosje Movement Albin Kurti,  as well as those of Kosovo Assembly MPs Albulena Haxhiu, Donika Kadaj-Bujupi and Faton Topalli.

The news was confirmed for klankosova.tv, also the Court of Appeals spokesperson Arber Jashari. “The Kosovo Court of Appeal rejected as ungrounded the Basic Prosecution’s appeal in Pristina on the issue of the accused Albin Kurti, Albulena Haxhiu, Donika Kadaj-Bujupi and Faton Topalli. The verdict of the court of first instance, dated 03.01.2018, was confirmed “.

They were found guilty of using weapon, whereby MP Albin Kurti was sentenced to 1 year and 3 months in prison and for obstructing an official with 6 months in prison. In total: 1 year 6 months in prison. MP Albulena Haxhiu for the use of gun was sentenced to 1 year and 2 months imprisonment. For obstructing an official person with 4 months. In total: 1 year and 3 months. Donika Kadaj-Bujupi was also sentenced for the use of gun to 1 year and 3 months,  and for obstructing an official person with 6 months of imprisonment. In total: 1 year and 6 months. While MP Faton Topalli for the use of gun was sentenced to 1 year imprisonment and for obstructing an official with 3 months imprisonment. In total: 1 year and two months.
