The President of Kosovo Hashim Thaci hailed the referendum held on Sunday in Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia. “Macedonia’s citizens, with their will and vote decided at the democratic referendum, on their new name and their Euro-Atlantic future. Yesterday’s voters including all our Albanian compatriots there, witnessed citizenship and clear will of Western values.
I hope and wish that the Parliament of the Republic of Macedonia will make the right pro-European decision. Western Balkans needs significant leadership and decisions, which strengthen good neighborhood relations and integrate our region in the European Union as soon as possible,” Thaci wrote.
