On 10th of this month, LGBTI and citizens in the protection of the rights of this community will march to the second pride parade in Pristina called “In the Name of Freedom”. The parade will be held in “Skenderbeu” square starting at 11:30 and lasting until 14:30.
In the announcement of the event published on Facebook, the organizers write that the Pride Week aims to raise awareness, empower LGBTI people and increase visibility in Kosovo society for different sexual orientations and gender identities.
During the Week of Pride there will be many activities: from film screenings, workshops, exhibitions, conferences, to the workshop that will take place a day before the parade.
Slogan “In the name of freedom” seeks freedom of expression, freedom to be secure, different freedoms of identity and sexuality, non-discrimination and freedom of confidentiality,” reads the announcement on the Pride of Parade.
In this way, LGBTIs express their response and the demand for freedom and security for communities.
