On 11 October, International Day of the Girl Child, Ipko Foundation in partnership with UNICEF, USAID, and Kosovo Education Centre (KEC) will play host to a number of events to mark the day. This year’s theme “A Skilled Girl Force” will focus on learning as a tool to empower girls in breaking down barriers in professions dominated by one gender, in particular the field of information technology. To this end, 30 girls, aged 10-15 years, from five Kosovo municipalities will travel to Pristina for study visits to different companies.
