The 80-year-old man, who has established a center for the missing of all communities that live in Kosovo, has three missing family members: his son from the last war, while his grandfather and grand grandfather from the wars that happened 100 years ago. Despite his old age, he meets the family members of the missing persons every day. He says that the cause he is working on keeps him young. Bajram Qerkizi has united all ethnicities, Albanians, Serbs, Bosniaks, Roma, Ashkali and Egyptians, who share the same pain.

In 2016, Qerkizi, together with Milorad Trifunovic, created Resource Center for the Missing Persons which now numbers 730 members. Since then, Qerkizi took over a difficult duty of uniting communities which hatted each other, to work together on finding their missing family members.

He is currently working with young generations of these ethnicities, uniting them, listening to them and feeling their pain for the missing of the beloved ones.

He hopes that his Center with the help of external cooperators, will create possibility for employment of these young people. Qerkizi seeks help of the respective institutions to shed light on these cases. He says each information for these individuals can be found only by listening to the stories of their family members.
